Too much is given much is required! Luke 12:48

Have you ever wonder why people hold you to a higher standard? Do you ever feel like some people can get away with murder and you can’t get away with telling a little white lie?  The simple answer to this is you are a child of God and he has called to a higher standard. You are Magnificent and He wants what is best for you! There are just certain things that we can’t do. You see we see ourselves like everyone else, but we must remember that we are not like everyone else. We are Kings and Queens dwelling on this earth.

For example think if President Obama was on facebook posting how drunk he was at the platinum last night. We would be ashamed to say we voted for him as our president because we hold him to a higher standard. That is the same standard that we as children of God should hold ourselves and friends to. Unfortunately we don’t see ourselves as being on the same level as President Obama. We see ourselves as everyone else!

I know that I have been wrong so many times, but I continue to love and forgive.
I ask myself often why do I forgive people, but I guess it is the God in me.
I realize that I am a Christian and God has shown me grace and mercy and therefore I have to do the same. God doesn’t keep record of my wrongs so who am I to keep record of anyone else’s. God has blessed me and you. He gives us chance after chance so what right do we have to not give a second chance!

Peace and blessings!

HERCULES

Every women wants a Hercules. I received a text message today stating that every woman wants a man to come and save her no matter where she is in life, from the walmart clerk to the district attorney. No matter how badly she has been hurt in the past she will let those emotional walls down. I completely agree with the text. after all it has happen to me. I am a woman who desires a husband. I actually want to be a help mate. And every time i give up on love i catch myself letting my emotional walls down, yet again. I truly believe that is what make a woman so special, the desire to love and forgive.

through my studies I have gathered It is innate for a woman to desire a man; after all it is in the bible. After Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, God told Eve"I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." (genesis 3-16)that tells us that we will desire a husband. So ladies, don't ever apologize for wanting to be married and wanting your Hercules. Now don't every force the issue, but is is always OK to hope for Hercules.
remember that Adam named Eve, he validated who she was and we as women are looking for our Hercules to validate who we are.

As a little girl I remember movies like: Cinderella, Snow white and Pocahontas. The one thing that all of the movies share is the princess being rescued by the prince. This is something that women desires at an early age. Yes it is 2010 and most women can pay their own bills, But the little girl in her always want her Hercules to come and rescue her so they can live happily ever after.

Spring cleaning

Spring Cleaning!

I have spent much of my life focused on things that have no value such as; how others view me and my actions. I have learned that some people are just unhappy and love to criticize and scrutinize others. I was talking to a good friend of mine and she said; she was talking to someone about my spirituality and the person couldn't believe that I was spiritual. The amazing thing about this person is we have never held a conversation. It kills me how people like to judge! Just because I am well dressed and like nice things that doesn’t mean that I am not a Christian

I know I have not lived a perfect life, but who has?!?! I think it is important to concern yourself with other, but never at the expense of your happiness and sanity.
So, today I am throwing out all negativity, including negative people! Proverbs 22: 24-25 says, 'Don't make friends with Hot tempered men, do not associate with one who is easily angered, or you will learn his ways and get yourself ensnared. If you are around negativity it is so easy to be consumed with it. So it’s in our best interest to let miserable people be!

I am surrounding myself with positive people who love life and uplifting. I challenge you to do the same.

ME!

Well spoken, made-up, out going, designer wearing premadonna is what you see! :) ...But do you really know the real me?! or are you judging by what you think you see? You see, I will be the first to boast and say God has truly been good to me. But that is not what you see. You like to hate on me, judge me, hold all the records of my wrongs, but the funny thing is, you don't even know me!

So let me tell you a little about the woman that I am and the one I hope to be.
God fearing , funny, spontanious, great friend and and even better lover, but that is not what you see. I love children, I even love you. Can you see that i am just trying to the best Christian i can be?

Last day being 27

Today is June 30, 2009, My last day being 27. As I reflect over my life I realize how blessed I truly am, God has been gracious to me over and over! I am so not deserving of all of my blessings! I have spent so much of my life trying to please others wanting people to judge me on my on merit instead of where I come from and my parents!
But I realize that I can no longer be ashamed of who I am or where I come from, because those things are the things that make me who I am. I know that my God’s grace is sufficient for me, for his power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

I have grown so much over the years. I have had some good times and some bad times! I have had my heart broken and I have done my fair share of heart breaking. I was talking to my BFF (Constance) this morning about her sister’s wedding and if you know me, you know that I am a hopeless romantic. I was all excited as if it was my wedding and she could sense it in my voice. She said, “Chasiti, you still believe in love and you are still hopeful.” I replied “Yes”, and we continued to talk like normal.

That conversation has had me going since 7 this morning. I am not bitter anymore. I am ready for love; but not at the cost of whom I am. See, I have dated my fair share of guys and tried to change who I was to fit them. If he wanted someone domesticated, I learned to cook; if he was into partying, I became a party animal, all for My man! But in trying to be what my man wanted I forgot about the things that were important to me. I did things that just weren’t Chasiti. Not saying that the things I did were bad, but they were not done because of my own conviction, they were done to please someone else! I have learned that you can’t make anyone want you and I will not try any longer! You see, I am perfectly made in the likeness of Jesus! I am going to live my life that way. I know there is always room for improvement and trust that I am working on me daily. But, I dare my self esteem issues to subject me to settle for anything less than I deserve. The bible says that a man should love is wife like Christ loves the church; not when he feels like or when its convenient or when no one else is looking! I am a Jewel with a lot to offer!
And yes, I have kissed a few frogs, but I know the next man I Kiss will be my prince!!!

I am single with no plus one and I cool with it!!!!

A Soulful Relationship

An African proverb states, "Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one eye. "Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don’t let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open, and don’t fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults aren’t really important.

Once you decide to commit to someone, over time their Flaws,
vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious.

If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve, you’ve got to learn to close one eye and not let every little thing bother you. You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths. You are two unique individuals who have decided to share a life together.

Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other? Do you bring out the best of each other? Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete, compare, and control? what do you bring to the relationship???

How full is your "Love Tank"?
